Justin Bieber might be the name on everyone’s lips, but Little Mix and Jess Glynne have led a strong female line-up wowing crowds at V Festival.

We’re still heading towards the on-stage time for Biebs and in the meantime, it’s been the ladies who have lit up the stage despite some very un-summery weather on the first full day of the festival in both Chelmsford and Staffordshire.

Little Mix got the Weston Park, Staffordshire stage warmed up for Rihanna this afternoon with a typically high-energy routine before handing over to David Guetta, the last act on ahead of Ri-Ri.

Meanwhile in Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Jess Glynne proved popular with the crowd as she belted out her hits on the same stage that Justin will grace later tonight.

Earlier in the day, Staffordshire festival goers got a retro treat when the reformed All Saints put in an appearance, wearing co-ordinated monochrome outfits.

The rest of tonight’s line-up sees Sia warm up for Justin in Chelmsford and Rihanna top the bill in Staffordshire, before they swap locations to perform again tomorrow.
