A section of the King Power Stadium was, for a brief moment, filled with fire and smoke as FC Copenhagen fans set off several flares ahead of their Champions League clash with Leicester.
While fans of Claudio Ranieri’s men were content holding a collection of flags that spelt out Leicester, Copenhagen supporters went for the full pyro option, lighting flares in their corner of the stadium at the start of the Group G match.

There is a chance Uefa could fine the Danish club for the use of flares by the fans.
However, the governing body for European football holds host clubs responsible for security inside and around the stadium – and that means Leicester City face being charged as per regulations under Article 16.

This comes after three Foxes fans were banned from home matches for the rest of the season two years ago after fireworks were set off in the family stand.

Leicester beat FC Copenhagen 1-0 but we can’t help but wonder what’s in store for Foxes.
