Cult high school comedy Mean Girls still has hordes of fans 12 years after it was released, and now they can get their Plastics fix in musical form – although they’ll have to wait a year and head to Washington DC to see it.

An account called Mean Girls DC has been set up on Twitter, and quoting a line from the film, it of course chose October 3 to make an announcement about the new stage show.

BREAKING OCT 3rd NEWS! The “Mean Girls” musical is coming to Washington, D.C. Fall of 2017! #MeanGirls #OctoberThird #ThatsSoFetch #grool pic.twitter.com/oFfLmTFrAt

The only other tweet the account has made is a list of some of the film’s most famous phrases, leaving us hopeful that the songs will be littered with references to the burn book, cafeteria etiquette and high school cliques.
