Horrorthon is a unique event in Irish cinemas, bringing genre fans together for five days of screenings with special guests and an atmosphere that you simply won't find anywhere else.

The full lineup for the 2016 fest has just been released and it's looking like a cracker with a mix of high profile new release like Train to Busan and 31 as well as classic treats, late night double bills and plenty of local efforts.

The fest runs from Thursday the 27th of October until Monday the 31st with 36 films showing as well a short film showcase. Some of these you'll have to choose between as they're on at the same time so be sure to do the research.

Each screening costs €11.50 (€12.50 for the opening and closing films) and you can also avail of season passes from a 1 day pass at €45 to the full 5 day event for €135. It's the ultimate endurance test!

You can buy individual tickets online but you'll have to call the IFI box office or pop in to claim the season passes.

Here's the full lineup. See you there!
