The MTV Europe Music Awards nominations are out, and Beyonce and Justin Bieber are leading the pack with five nods each.

Lemonade star Beyonce and Love Yourself singer Justin have been shortlisted for five awards each, with Adele close behind them on four nominations.

Rihanna, Drake, Kanye West, Ariana Grande and The Weeknd could all be looking at multiple wins, too, after finding themselves listed in three categories each.

Beyonce is up for best US act, best video for Formation, best female, best live act and biggest fans, while Justin has been named for best Canadian act, best song with Sorry, best male, best pop, and goes up against Beyonce for biggest fans.

Adele is set to give both nominee pack leaders a run for their money as she battles Justin for best song with her track Hello, and Beyonce for best female and best live act.

In the best UK and Ireland act category, Adele faces competition from Coldplay, Little Mix, Years & Years and ex-One Direction star Zayn.

We’re also prepping ourselves for potentially awkward scenes in the best pop category, as Justin will be competing with his ex Selena Gomez for the trophy.
