Beyonce turned 35 over the weekend and threw what looks like the best celeb party we’ve seen all year.
The Lemonade singer had a Soul Train themed bash, complete with 70s fancy dress outfits, famous guests, and of course plenty of dancing.
A video from the party shows Beyonce and husband Jay Z in their themed outfits dancing in front of the rest of the guests, while more footage shows daughter Ivy Blue getting in costume as well, bringing out a birthday cake for her mum.

Guests included Usher, Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys. Swizz Beats shared this photo of him with his wife Alicia in costume for the party, writing: “HBD my virgo sis Beyoncé date night at the soul train party with my Love.”

The party was in New York on Monday, but Beyonce’s actual birthday was Sunday, when she celebrated at the Made In America festival in Philadelphia run by Jay Z and stood in the crowd with her husband to watch Coldplay perform.
Earlier that weekend, she paid a visit to her mum Tina Lawson, who donned a glittery pair of birthday glasses and shared a cute baby snap of her famous daughter, captioned: “35 years ago today was one of the most happy days of my life . Out of all the people in the world God picked me to be your mother! What a blessing !! Happy birthday to one of the kindest , smartest , most generous and humble human beings ever ! I love you.”

Some of Beyonce’s famous friends wished her a happy 35th, too. Paris Hilton and her sister Nicky shared a photo on Instagram captioned: “Happy Birthday to the #UltimateBae @Beyonce. As beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. #BirthdayGirl.”

She also decided to give something back to her fans by releasing the video to Hold Up on her birthday – this is the part of visual album Lemonade that shows the singer smashing up a line of cars with a baseball bat, so fans have been looking forward to seeing it in full since Lemonade’s release earlier this year.
