If you were a youth footballer promoted to train with the senior squad, what would your tactic be? Keep your head down? Lay low? Be seen and not heard?

Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah decided on an altogether different tactic, having been promoted to senior England training with James Ward-Prowse and Nathan Redmond of Southampton.

As the ball is headed out towards the 21-year-old, you might have expected him to lay the ball off to a more senior player.

This is better, though.

Allowing the ball to bounce, Chalobah gets his leg right over the ball before demonstrating perfect technique, and firing the ball into the top corner. Postage stamp.

Members of the squad and coaching staff took the time to applaud the effort. Not a bad way to introduce yourself.
