Former Hollyoaks actor Danny Mac wowed the Strictly Come Dancing audience with an energetic and sultry inaugural dance.

Mac, dancing with partner Oti Mabuse, performed a Cha Cha to DNC’s Cake By The Ocean.

He received 31 points to put him in joint second place with Louise Redknapp and just behind fashion model Daisy Lowe.

Dressed all in black, Mac, who has won numerous hottest soap star awards, wowed the audience and judges with Darcy Bussell saying: “I’m in shock, a man that can actually work his hips. Wow.”

Plenty of people were so impressed with Danny they struggled to tell who was the pro dancer.

Danny Mac is an incredible dancer! I honestly struggled to tell which was the professional. I'd put money on him winning👌🏻 #Strictly

Danny Mac should be in first place! His dance was like two professional dancers. #Strictly #robbed
