It’s a chilly afternoon in New York, and model Camille Rowe is tucked up in an armchair in The Bowery Hotel. Her blonde hair is tumbling over the front of her black blazer which, in typically-French style, she’s paired with a loose white Dior tee that’s emblazoned with the slogan ‘we should all be feminists.’ With her is, 22-year-old instagrammer and street style star Doina Ciobanu, who hung out with Camille at the fabulous NYC bash and who interviewed her to about her inimitable french style and what it was like to star in the Dior Poison Girl perfume campaign…
Doina: How do you find New York different to any other city that you’ve lived in?
Camille: I think the food delivery is great… the delis are great. There’s so much to do, you’re never bored, but at the end of the day, I’m a homebody.
Doina: Let's talk about your style. Do you think it’s more French, or more American?
Camille: I love that a French girl is more about ‘less is more’. I’m a firm believer in that. I do really like dressing up in the evening and I collect vintage. I have some really crazy pieces and I love to wear them out!
Doina: As a French girl, I can imagine that you grew up with this image of the Dior fashion house being the ideal brand to work with. What’s the experience like, working with them now?
Camille: I think it’s an honour, regardless of what house you work with, to be the face of the company – that’s awesome. What’s more awesome is being the face of such a classic French brand.
Doina: Do you think New York had an impact on this campaign?
Camille: I mean, we see it with everything; I feel like New York influences music, style, everything. The campaign is very contemporary, I just feel like it’s of the times.
