Blame writer Stephen King and his horrific creation Pennywise the clown who lurked in the sewers. Or blame the serial killer John Wayne Gacy who painted pictures of a clown named Pogo. Whatever the reason, clowns have always inspired unreasoning dread in some people. Psychologists call it Coulrophobia, fear of clowns. And for whatever reason, this Halloween season has seen an explosion of scary clowns on the streets, and on the web. VOA's Kevin Enochs reports.
