Following the release of Growing Over Life, the album Wretch 32 says he’s been “waiting five years to release and a whole lifetime to make”, the artist will be at HMV on London’s Oxford Street on Wednesday to give an intimate performance followed by an album signing session.

The Tottenham native’s third studio album is one of his most personal and sees Wretch laying his black British experience down on the beat.

The album features Emeli Sande, Avelino and Knox Brown, among others, and Wretch doesn’t fail to live up to his reputation as one of the UK’s greatest lyricists across the 12-track record.

The production veers between stripped back and melodic to rich and almost pop-like, but the honesty never lets up. This album is the result of using the studio for catharsis.
