James Corden hoping to bring his US TV show to the UK"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>James Corden is in talks to bring his hit US programme The Late, Late Show to the UK, according to his co-host Reggie Watts.<\/p>\n<p> The British funnyman has won plaudits since taking over the late-night talk show in America, with his Carpool Karaoke segments attracting tens of millions of views on YouTube.<\/p>\n<p> Reggie, the house band leader on The Late, Late Show, said discussions had been held about filming the programme in the UK for a short stint.<\/p>\n<p><figure><img src=\"http:\/\/toptrendingnews.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/1474265924-cf7abcc1febb3c88c7e4b4c4e045d77c-600x413.jpg\"\/><figcaption>Reggie Watts and James Corden (Chris Pizzello \/ AP\/PA Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p> Speaking at the Emmys in Los Angeles, Reggie told the Press Association: \u201cI think (James) is always going to have a strong association to the UK.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cI love the UK. We\u2019re thinking of maybe, possibly bringing the show there. Just for fun for a couple of shows.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cI keep mentioning it. Who knows if it will happen. I think that would be absolutely wonderful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><figure><img src=\"http:\/\/toptrendingnews.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/1474265989-e5185abc2562bff674e0daf74125d4b9-600x899.jpg\"\/><figcaption>James Corden and his wife Julia Carey at the Emmys (Jordan Strauss \/ AP\/PA Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p> The Late, Late Show was nominated for an Emmy for outstanding variety talk show but lost out to John Oliver\u2019s Last Week Tonight.<\/p>\n<p> Reggie said he was \u201cnot totally surprised\u201d at the success of the programme, which was previously hosted by Scottish comedian Craig Ferguson.<\/p>\n<p><figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"474\" height=\"267\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ln3wAdRAim4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p> He said: \u201cJames is such a good personable person and he has so much talent, that if it\u2019s framed right, of course it\u2019s going to be great.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> The Late, Late Show is shown in the UK on Sky One, a day after being broadcast on CBS in America.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>James Corden is in talks to bring his hit US programme The Late, Late Show to the UK, according to his co-host Reggie Watts.
