{"id":5447,"date":"2016-09-14T06:11:13","date_gmt":"2016-09-14T00:11:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/toptrendingnews.co\/kate-hudson-praises-stepfather-kurt-russells-starring-role-in-her-life\/"},"modified":"2016-09-14T11:31:56","modified_gmt":"2016-09-14T05:31:56","slug":"kate-hudson-praises-stepfather-kurt-russells-starring-role-in-her-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/toptrendingnews.co\/kate-hudson-praises-stepfather-kurt-russells-starring-role-in-her-life\/","title":{"rendered":"Kate Hudson praises stepfather Kurt Russell&#8217;s starring role in her life"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>Actress Kate Hudson has praised the \u201cimportant\u201d role her stepfather Kurt Russell has played in her life \u2013 and revealed she now recognises the actor\u2019s traits in herself.<\/p>\n<p> Kate, 37, and Kurt, 65, appear in a film together for the first time in the disaster movie Deepwater Horizon, which tells the story of the 2010 oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico that led to the worst oil spill in US history.<\/p>\n<p> The pair walked the red carpet at the movie\u2019s premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, along with their co-star Mark Wahlberg who plays oil rig foreman Mike Williams.<\/p>\n<p><figure><img src=\"http:\/\/toptrendingnews.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/1473824957-bc0add2bd54e8a7ebd6d4b357c8a0a92-600x398.jpg\"\/><figcaption>Kurt Russell at the Toronto premiere of Deepwater Horizon (Evan Agostini\/Invision\/AP)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p> Asked how important Kurt had been to her career, Kate told the Press Association: \u201cI think it\u2019s more, how important has he been in my life?<\/p>\n<p> \u201cHe raised me. I am who I am because of him and my mum, of course.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cThere are certain parts of me, especially as you get older, you look and you go, that\u2019s just my dad, so he\u2019s incredibly important.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><figure><img src=\"http:\/\/toptrendingnews.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/1473825196-67cac495f5f0f526392da2bf4424cb91-600x841.jpg\"\/><figcaption>Kate Hudson at the Deepwater Horizon premiere in Toronto (Evan Agostini\/Invision\/AP)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p> Kate said she would love to work on a future film with Russell and her mother, actress Goldie Hawn, but admitted it was an unlikely prospect.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cThere\u2019s nobody I\u2019d rather work with,\u201d she said. \u201cWe\u2019re very compatible our family.
