{"id":4543,"date":"2016-09-08T23:22:00","date_gmt":"2016-09-08T17:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/toptrendingnews.co\/see-the-trailer-for-the-amanda-knox-documentary\/"},"modified":"2016-09-09T04:48:03","modified_gmt":"2016-09-08T22:48:03","slug":"see-the-trailer-for-the-amanda-knox-documentary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/toptrendingnews.co\/see-the-trailer-for-the-amanda-knox-documentary\/","title":{"rendered":"See the trailer for the Amanda Knox documentary"},"content":{"rendered":"<\/p>\n<p>Amanda Knox gazes directly at the camera and states \u201ceither I\u2019m a psychopath in sheep\u2019s clothing or I am you\u201d in a new documentary on the Mereditch Kercher murder trial.<\/p>\n<p> Netflix has released a trailer from the film, which will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday.<\/p>\n<p> The US student was convicted and imprisoned with Raffaele Sollecito for the 2007 murder of Meredith, but after appeals and retrials they were acquitted last year by Italy\u2019s highest court.<\/p>\n<p><figure><img src=\"http:\/\/toptrendingnews.co\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/1473372004-7e27207ada00e780470a2ca162190fc5-600x436.jpg\"\/><figcaption>Amanda Knox is featured in the documentary (Ted S Warren\/AP)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p> In the clip, Amanda is asked \u201cDid you kill Meredith Kercher?\u201d and she replies \u201cno\u201d before giving the same reply to two further questions: \u201cWere you there that night?\u201d and \u201cDo you know anything you have not told police?\u201d<\/p>\n<p> Amanda, now 29, says that anyone could have been in her shoes. Looking at the camera, she states: \u201cThat\u2019s everyone\u2019s nightmare. Either I\u2019m a psychopath in sheep\u2019s clothing or I am you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> She said of 21-year-old British student Meredith: \u201cWe weren\u2019t best friends but I was so shocked by what happened to her. Suddenly I found myself tossed into this dark place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"474\" height=\"267\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/f5SFjSxzS7M?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p> Breaking down in tears, she states: \u201cI was so scared. I don\u2019t know what else I can say. Before Italy I had a happy life. It was very important to get out of my comfort zone and see if that made me turn into an adult.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> But after the events in Italy \u201cthe whole world knew who I had ever had sex with.
