Call 859-258-3600 with info. https:\/\/t.co\/F68VTMmH2X pic.twitter.com\/0i4bOOwsF0<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Lexington Police (@lexkypolice) October 16, 2016<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> A statement read: \u201cA juvenile who was struck at the scene was transported to a hospital by private vehicle and then transferred to UK Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cThe victim has been identified by the Fayette County Coroner\u2019s office as 15-year-old Trinity Gay of Lexington.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> USA Track and Field later confirmed the news in a tweet sending best wishes to the Gay family.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Sending our thoughts &amp; prayers to @TysonLGay &amp; his loved ones as they mourn the tragic &amp; senseless loss of his daughter, Trinity.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 USATF (@usatf) October 16, 2016<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> Trinity Gay had been following in her father\u2019s footsteps by building a sprinting career of some promise.<\/p>\n<p> Tyson Gay, 34, is the USA\u2019s 100 metres record holder and records show that Trinity Gay was a 200m regional champion during the most recent athletics season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 15-year-old daughter of American sprinter Tyson Gay has died after a shooting outside a restaurant in Kentucky.
