WATCH: Defender completes his hat-trick, applauds himself and gets sent off

It’s not often that defenders score hat-tricks, so you can forgive Mehmed Dresevic for being pretty excited about it when he did it.

Dresevic, who plays for Swedish third-tier side Norrby, was so excited when he bagged his third that he felt the only proper thing to do was take a seat in the stands and give himself a round of applause.

Unfortunately, the referee didn’t agree.

It didn’t matter much in the end – Noorby went on to beat Tvaaker 6-1.
