In slightly unbelievable news, it seems that Arsenal are on the verge of making not one, but TWO signings.
Arsenal have had bids accepted today for Mustafi (£35m) as well as Perez (£17m). Total spending on fees this window is now close to £100m

And it looks as though one of those is an actual striker, in the form of Deportivo La Coruna’s Lucas Perez.

Yes, wake up Arsenal fans! A striker! A real one!

With the fee reported at around £17 million, Perez is something of a bargain option (yes, £17m counts as a real deal these days!) – but hey, who can afford to throw money around in today’s economy?
Lucas perez for £17m is absolutely a better bargain than getting lacazette at â¬60m

The modern-day scouting report is the YouTube compilation video – everything seems in order here.
The soundtrack on Lucas Perez's YouTube compilation is superb. Sign him up.

Meanwhile, Arsenal look like they’ll finally add a centre back in the form of Shkodran Mustafi – but not before departing with a hefty sum of money.
Valencia did not want to lose Mustafi and said no to the original â¬18m offer from Arsenal. But the last offer of â¬40m has convinced them

But everyone pays too much for footballers these days, don’t they?
Just read 'paying over the odds for Mustafi' but when Manchester clubs or Chelsea do it it's right investment or market is inflated. OK.

It looks like it could be a pretty good deal for Arsenal for a number of reasons.
Delighted Mustafi is signing and equally that Chambers will go on loan. Think Calum can make it, still so young, will learn a lot on loan
— Oli Price-Bates (@OliPriceBates) August 25, 2016
Mustafi and Koscielny would be a solid CB partnership.

With two games gone though, is it all too little too late from Wenger?
Good planning is getting deals done before poss blowing 9 points. In fairness, not just Arsenal. But clubs who buy early tend to do better

Time will tell, but for now Arsenal fans, enjoy!
