Kevin Eriksson pulled off one of the most audacious overtakes you’re probably ever seen in World Rallycross (RX) this weekend.

Prepare yourself.

Eriksson seemed to be moving in slow motion, but sideways, as he cruised around the competition – and the perfect drift meant he won the race at the Estering for the Germany RX.

It gets more awesome too. Eriksson tweeted dash cam footage of the move.

Despite his amazing race, after 11 rounds Eriksson is just outside the top 10 2016 Supercar WRX Standings, while fellow Swede Mattias Ekstrom received enough points from the race to be crowned champion with a race to go.

He certainly impressed with the move though.

I think we'll all agree that he should now be known as Kevin #RoundTheOutside Eriksson! https://t.co/ySec6805n3@Erikssonkev @olsbergsmse

For those that don’t know, the FIA World RX Championship features 12 rounds across the world. Each round consists of qualifying, semi-finals and one final, which features the top six cars from the original entrants (a maximum of 20). Points are awarded for each of the rounds, with the maximum score being 30 for topping each of the rounds.

The final round, at the Autodromo Rosario in Argentina, is on November 25. If Eriksson’s drifting is anything to go by, it might be worth a watch.
