If you haven’t heard of spikeball, it is essentially an intense version of two versus two volleyball with a mini trampoline added.

Still not got a clear picture? Have a watch of this…

Norwich may have slipped down a league to the Football League Championship last season but we think they would be world champions of spikeball – just look at that rally!

Spikeball, also called round net, requires the two teams to stand on opposite sides of the trampoline, and the aim is simply to stop the ball touching the ground. After the serve, the teams are allowed a maximum of three touches before the ball needs to hit the net again. If they do more, they concede a point.

The innovative drill was decided on by former Irish international goalkeeper Dean Kiely (wearing the black and yellow top in the video), who now helps train the Canaries’ keepers.

Top warm up for the GK's, working on speed, agility, reactions. @BenKillip95 and myself won this epic battle! #winners👍🏻⚽️👐🏻#OTBC https://t.co/aiLdT7dxF0

We need to start playing this.

Thanks to Norwich City for the clip. You can check out more of their videos on Facebook.
