After the Chicago Cubs won their first World Series championship for 108 years, it’s safe to say the drink was flowing in the Cubs dressing room.

But there can’t have been many who were opening a beverage quite like this man, who’d been saving a Coors beer for when the Cubs next won a World Series… since 1984.

That’s right – this is a 32-year-old beer.

my grandpa put this beer in his fridge 32 years ago and said he would open it when the cubs won the world series. today was that day. pic.twitter.com/LPsNMQZCpp

The man’s son provides the commentary, proclaiming: “Here we are, 32 years after 1984. My dad’s 32-year-old Coors beer, that he has saved in his house for when the Cubs would win the World Series. After a hard long-fought battle tonight, the Cubs won!”

The man then proceeds to open the can, before pouring out a particularly orange looking liquid.

A great story, sure. We’re just hoping he didn’t really drink it.
