Perhaps the wrong contracts were sent over, but in a bizarre move Thierry Henry is going to be playable in NBA 2K17.
Henry will be playable in Blacktop mode, where he’ll be able to go toe-to-toe with some of the greatest basketball players ever. There will be different types of basketball games available, ranging from 1v1 up to 5v5.
In a statement, Henry revealed that has been a basketball and NBA fan since he was a child. He said, “I'm honoured to be the first football player ever to be playable in NBA 2K17. Seeing myself go toe to toe with the legends of the sport is an amazing feeling."
It’s too early – or late – for this to be an April Fool’s prank and there are screenshots to prove it.
