Fishing is a way of life for people who live along the lakes in the southeast African country of Malawi. Various means are employed to dry the fish for market. But since the catch is dried outside in the open, about half of it decays. Now, a solar tent has been introduced that better preserves the fish and dries them more efficiently. VOA’s Deborah Block takes us to Lake Chilwa, Malawi’s second-largest lake.
