It’s been just over a week since Skepta took home the coveted Mercury Prize and, according to the Official Charts, Konnichiwa has surged 40 places since his win.

It’s usual for artists to receive a surge in sales following a win of that stature and Music Week analysis puts the rise at a staggering 260%, according to midweek figures.

Still floating on another planet, thank you for all the love, messages and support. It's been a rollercoaster of a journey and I'm thankful for my supportive, strong, unstoppable team. We fucking did it 🌍🏆 #MercuryPrize 2016

The Boy Better Know MC became the first grime artist to win the Mercury Prize since Dizzee Rascal did so 13 years ago with his debut Boy In Da Corner, and sales for his album have now reached 85,393.

And Skepta might have to make more space in his trophy cabinet after being nominated for three Mobo Awards, including best male, best album and best grime act.

In the words of Skepta: Greatness!
