Sherlock Holmes is still big business, what with those Robert Downey jr starring films (a third is still apparently in the works) and the BBC show which launched Benedict Cumberbatch's career into the stratosphere plus Jonny Lee Miller's Elementary. And now there's another addition to adventures first penned by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in the works.

The word is that Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly will reteam for Holmes and Watson, and it's probably not much of a surprise to hear that this will be more of a comedy.

A script for the film has been floating around Hollywood for almost 10 years, with Sony Pictures putting it on hold to let the world forget a little about the high octane pairing of RDj and Jude Law. Deadline reports that Get Hard writer/director Etan Cohen may take on both of those roles again for Holmes and Watson, which could be fast tracked to shoot by the end of 2016.

Ferrell and Reilly previously worked together on both Talladega Nights and Step Brothers so hopes will be high for another quality comedy pairing.
