He’s one of the hot young rising stars of the music world, and British fans of Shawn Mendes can now rejoice at the news he is coming to the UK.
The Canadian singer-songwriter, whose chart-topping hit Stitches will be in our heads forever, has announced his Illuminate World Tour for 2017 in support of his second album of the same name.
The 18-year-old will start his 44-date arena tour in Glasgow in April before he heads off to venues across the UK, Europe and North America.

Shawn said: “I’m so excited for the Illuminate World Tour and to head to the UK for the shows there. The British fans have been so supportive and this will be my first time headlining in Scotland and Manchester, as well as The O2 in London. I can’t wait!”
He’s having a brilliant time of it, as he’s already won a handful of awards at such a young age and is a certified multi-platinum artist thanks to the success of his debut album Handwritten.
Illuminate is out on September 23 and features lead single Treat You Well, which has comfortably enjoyed Top 10 chart status in the UK for several weeks.
