Blackburn Rovers defender Shane Duffy was having another match to forget in a painful run for club and country.

Just days after his own goal in a defeat to Wigan Athletic, the Ireland defender has found the wrong net again.

The 24-year-old netted two own goals in the first 20 minutes of the game against Cardiff City as Blackburn lost 2-1.

Having a bad day? Blackburn defender Shane #Duffy netted 2 own goals in 20 mins at Cardiff City Stadium tonight. Follows O/G @ Wigan on Sat!

Shane Duffy has scored more own goals this season than Rovers have scored goals in the Championship. #Rovers

Has Shane Duffy really just scored three own goals in his last two games? #Blackburn pic.twitter.com/y8JFMWapDt

His misery was complete when he was sent off in the dying seconds after the frustrated defender received a second yellow card for kicking the ball away.

Shane Duffy's 2 own goals are shocking enough. Then his lack of discipline is horrendous to get sent off.

Duffy was sent off for Ireland against France at the last-16 stage of Euro 2016 in June.

He then deleted his own personal Twitter account after his Wigan gaffe because of the personal abuse he had received.

It’s safe to say, he’s probably having a worse day than you.
