Young Thug’s choice of attire on the cover for his mixtape No, My Name Is Jeffery was probably, at least at first, spoken about more than the actual contents of the tape. After all, it’s not every day a rapper adorns his piece of art wearing a dress.

Thugger, aka Jeffery, recently revealed he wanted the dress for the cover as soon as he saw it, and VFILES, the New York boutique where the dress was found, caught the moment on video.

The Alessandro Trincone-designed dress clearly grabbed Thug’s attention, with his mixtape springing immediately to mind.

And was Mortal Combat the motivating force? The rapper mentions Raiden’s hat, as well as Sub-Zero, and there are definitely similarities.
