Some Olympic athletes aren’t having much luck with the weather in Rio as the day’s rowing was cancelled for the second time and the tennis was delayed.

On the opening day rowers complained about the crazy wind whipping across the Lagoa which lead to the abandonment of Sunday’s racing.

And the same has happened again as the wet weather was declared too bad to race in, meaning Team Ireland will have to wait a little longer to see whether they can claim a final place.

The rain also affected the tennis with the start of play being pushed back due to the soggy scenes.

Yes it might well be mid-winter in Rio right now but STILL, how can Irish weather ever be better than Brazil?
