Well, Olivier Giroud made quite the impact in Arsenal’s game against Sunderland, didn’t he?

(Owen Humphreys/PA)

Not only did he come on to the pitch in the 69th minute to net his first goal of the season, and put Arsenal ahead again after Sunderland’s first-half penalty, he scored from his first touch.

Oh, and he struck twice within five minutes, killing off any hopes Sunderland had of making a comeback.

2 – Olivier Giroud has scored with both of his first two touches in this match. Clinical.

YES GIROUD! I didn't even see he'd come on! 😅 1-2 #SFCVAFC

First touch, goal! Giroud 👏🏽

That was classic Giroud. He's so good at those one touch finishes #SUNARS #arsenal

It's amazing that Giroud is so sharp right now. Both of his goals were those of an in-form striker. Great to see #SFCvAFC #SUNARS #COYG

As I've also always said, thank heavens for Giroud… #Arsenal

People underestimate Giroud's importance to the side, gives us another dimension & is great competition for the other forwards too #AFC

— Patrick Timmons (@PatrickTimmons1) October 29, 2016

Like, a lot of love.

OH MY WORD GIROUD!!! I swear to God sometimes I love this man so much & sometimes he makes me want to slap myself from his stupidness.

OLIVIER GIROUD IS GOD

You big, beautiful man @_OlivierGiroud_ #SUNARS #nananananananana

Things only got better for the Gunners, when Alexis Sanchez also helped himself to a second goal.

I'd be okay with Giroud and Sanchez playing a game of "anything you can do I can do better" for the rest of the season.

— Poorly Drawn Arsenal (@cantdrawarsenal) October 29, 2016

Yep, it was a chaotic seven minutes, as Sanchez nimbly converted from close range to make the score 4-1, and complete a miserable afternoon for Sunderland.

3 things are guaranteed in life; death, taxes and 3 points against Sunderland.
