There are plenty of players in the Premier League who can’t keep up with Mesut Ozil’s fast-working football brain, so perhaps it’s time clubs thought about putting dogs in their first team.
The Arsenal playmaker posted a video of himself having a kickaround with his pug Balboa in the garden, and it’s fair to say the pooch showed the sort of tenacity that was missing in the Gunners’ midfield for so many years.

Once Balboa gets the ball, though, there’s an obvious dearth of ideas about what to do with it next.
A proper battling old-school midfielder in the David Batty mould, we reckon.
