Joe Hart is back in the game after returning to the first team as Manchester City take on Steaua Bucharest in the second leg of their Champions League play-off.
The England goalkeeper was recalled by Pep Guardiola after being left on to warm the bench for the first three games of the season – and has been given the honour of captain.
The 29-year-old’s appearance isn’t likely to squash speculation over his future at the club, who are supposedly poised to complete the signing of Claudio Bravo from Barcelona.
Hart has been linked with a move away from City since losing his place to Willy Caballero, and many fans believe this match will mark his last with the club.
#JoeHart no matter what happens after today you will always be a city legend and hero to us and I pray u stay at the Etihad #HartLegend

Great to see Joe Hart in goal again, though probably for the final time. A fantastic reception awaits #mcfc

So sad to see City legend Joe Hart playing his probably last game in a city shirt. Top class person and player.

Midfielder Yaya Toure also made his first appearance of the season against Steaua after being overlooked completely for the first three games.
