Footballers seem to be dressing up for Halloween with startling regularity this year, but we think Luis Garcia might have won the costume competition for 2016.

The former Liverpool midfielder contributed to one of the Anfield club’s greatest moments in 2005, when his ‘ghost goal’ against Chelsea sealed progression to the Champions League final, which Liverpool ultimately won on penalties having been 3-0 down at half time.

Here’s Garcia’s costume, making reference to the dubious phantom goal – and it’s not bad. Not bad at all.

Happy Halloween!! Some will find it funny😂…others Scary👻! #Halloween #Ghost

We’re not sure Jose Mourinho will give you any sweets if you knock on his door this evening, Luis.
