Laura Trott rounded off a stunning performance at Rio with a gold in the omnium, her fourth gold medal.

A strong performance in the final points race comfortably secured her overall victory for Team GB.

The points race is probably the most confusing of the cycling omnium races.

The cyclists go round the track 100 times, collecting points depending on where they cross the line in the 10 sprint laps dispersed throughout the race.

Got it?

Has anyone got the slightest idea of what's going on in this cycle race with Laura Trott?!

I don't know what's happening #cycling #Olympics #Trott

Well anyway, Trott secured the omnium win in the final race ahead of silver medal athlete Sara Hamer of the USA.

After the race, Trott paid tribute to her team behind the scenes, telling the BBC: “I can’t believe it.”
