Jess Glynne and Little Mix are in the musical line-up to play at the BBC Radio 1′s Teen Awards 2016.

Little Mix promised “a few surprises” for their fans while triple award winners The Vamps said they were pleased to be back for a show which was “by far one of the loudest experiences we’ve ever had”.

Shawn Mendes and DNCE are also set to take to the stage at the awards which honour the UK’s unsung teenage heroes as well as the year’s best music, online, sport and entertainment stars at The SSE Arena, Wembley on October 23.

More than 9,000 people are set to attend.

Ben Cooper, controller of Radio 1 and 1Xtra said: “Young people are playing a pivotal role in being a force for good within their communities, I care deeply that as a society we celebrate their achievements, as well as having some fun by showcasing some of the biggest pop stars in the world.”
