Alrighty then. As October approaches folks might be getting their brains in gear for Halloween, but we really just care about Horrorthon.
The annual festival held at the IFI in Dublin is essential for genre fans and it's a real endurance test with dozens of films screening over an intense long weekend from the 27th to the 31st of October.
The full programme has yet to be released but the fine folk over at the Horrorthon Facebook group have shown off an early preview of what to expect. And it's looking like a really solid line up so far.

Train to Busan is an acclaimed Koren zombie film which has been making the festival rounds and it's great to be able to see it on the big screen locally. 31 represents Rob Zombie's latest addition to the world of cinema and there are a pair of 1986 classics in The Fly and Critters. One of those is just a bit better than the other.
Another element of the 2016 fest is a focus on homegrown talent with no less than three Irish features in the mix- Don't You Recognise Me? from Jason Figgis, Demon Hunter by Zoe Kavanagh and Mark Sheridan's Crone Wood.
The full programme will be revealed in the coming days but you can nab tickets for these screenings already over on the official Horrorthon page. Multi-day passes will also be made available so you won't miss a thing.
