George Michael’s 1990 album Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 is set to be reissued accompanied by a new film featuring Stevie Wonder, Elton John and the supermodels who starred in the video to his hit single Freedom! ’90.

The movie, with the working title Freedom: George Michael, will be narrated by George and will also feature Mark Ronson, Mary J Blige, Tony Bennett, Liam Gallagher, James Corden and Ricky Gervais.

It will also star the models who appeared in the David Fincher music video – Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Tatjana Patitz.

The record was George’s second solo album, after the hugely successful Faith, and was arranged, produced and almost entirely written by George, but did not feature him on the album cover.

It featured hits including Cowboys And Angels, Mother’s Pride and Praying For Time and outsold Faith in the UK, where it went platinum four times but led to a court case with US record label Sony about George’s frustration over how the album has been marketed. He lost the case.

The film to accompany the reissue will tell the story of the making of the album, as well as the court case and George’s grief at losing his partner Anselmo Feleppa to Aids in 1993.

The reissued version of the record will be titled Listen Without Prejudice 25 and will feature George’s 1996 MTV Unplugged performance as part of the deluxe four disc box set and 2CD edition.

The concert, at the Three Mills Island Studios in East London, included the singer performing songs from his days with Wham!, as well as tracks from Faith, Older and Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1.
