Even after retirement, it looks as though the Manchester United-Liverpool rivalry burns brightly within Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher.
After United and Liverpool’s most recent clash, a turgid 0-0 draw, Neville took this snap from Anfield and posted it to his Twitter page.

A sly dig at the state of the modern game, Neville’s tweet struck a chord with many fans on Twitter.
But six days later, it was Manchester United’s turn to be the punchline, as the Old Trafford side lost 4-0 to rivals Chelsea.
As a United veteran, that will have stung Neville, and his good mate Jamie Carragher was in no mind to help make things better.

But G-Nev, who, let’s remember, took on one of the toughest jobs as Valencia manager last season, has never been one to back away from a challenge.
We waited with bated breath.

Was it worth waiting for? It wasn’t bad.
