Given what happened last season, some Aston Villa fans might think not being able to watch games is a blessing.

But apparently some fans who are unable to attend games still want to see what’s going on on the pitch – and club chairman Dr Tony Xia has a plan.

One supporter asked him if there were “any plans to create an international membership scheme so that us non-UK Villa fans can feel part of the club” and this was his response.
