Arsenal took on Burnley in the last round of Premier League fixtures before the international break, and having beaten Chelsea 3-0 last week before earning three points in the Champions League against Basel, Gunners fans were expectant.

But it was only with the last kick of the game that Arsene Wenger’s men sealed victory against an excellent Burnley defence.

GOAL Burnley 0-1 Arsenal (90+2 mins). Walcott's knockdown is forced over the line by a combination of Oxlade-Chamberlain & Koscielny #BURARS

Atfer a difficult 20 years in the job, Arsene Wenger was perhaps a little fortuitous when Laurent Koscielny’s winner came around.

Ref not sure whether to give offside or handball, so he gives a goal. 1-0 to the Arsenal.

Was that Arsenal goal a) not a corner b) offside c) handball and d) over the 2 minutes? I'm sure Wenger will acknowledge his good fortune…

Even the guys at Fantasy Premier League couldn’t work it out.

Arsenal have a bit of a knack for this last-minute goal business.

Burnley can feel hard done by, having worked hard for a point.

Koscielny is offside and handles ball. Apart from that a perfect Arsenal winner. How do officials miss that ? Feel for Burnley.

But the result stands, and continues Arsenal’s fine run of form.

And we’re sure Wenger couldn’t have asked for a better anniversary present.
