Whales Revered as Center of Alaska Inupiat Life

By  |

Everything about the city of Barrow, Alaska, is special. The northern-most city in the U.S., it is home to indigenous carvers, fishermen, researchers and teachers doing their best to preserve the native Inupiaq language. Anna Rice narrates her story.
